The Price Rite of New Britain gets a visit from Santa’s helpers this holiday season.
Although 2020 has been a tough year, not even a mask could contain the expressions of joy when “elves” from the charity Christmas Wish CT visited the Price Rite of New Britain on December 22, to pay for shoppers’ groceries.
The generosity was part of a partnership between Price Rite Marketplace and Christmas Wish CT that raised more than $5,000 to purchase items for customers. The event was broadcast live on Christmas Wish CT’s Facebook page
“Price Rite is proud to support Christmas Wish CT in their efforts to bring smiles to local families who visited our New Britain store,” said Jim Dorey, president of Price Rite Marketplace. “We consider all our shoppers members of the Price Rite family and our team members could not be more excited to be part of the program.”
As shoppers checked out at the store, volunteers from Christmas Wish CT stepped in and paid for the total amount of the purchase, making this year’s holiday season a bit more special for everyone.
“I want to thank Price Rite Marketplace for being such a great partner to Christmas Wish CT,” said Mike Stacy, founder, Christmas Wish CT. “Our program is about people helping people, and nothing personifies our efforts more than spreading holiday cheer by giving Price Rite customers this holiday surprise.”
